HISTORY OF WORCESTER RIVER PLATE SEVERN TFC

ABOUT THE CLUB
The Worcester River Plate Severn Table Football Club kicked off its official 2005-2006 season on Thursday 24th November 2005 as five great teams began their league campaigns. The club was formed in September '05 and by November had generated enough interest to begin official league proceedings. Teams entered so far include The Bozward Busby's, Worcester River Plate Severn, Hereford Herzegovina, The Junior Gunners TFC and Spurs All Stars. The legendary Dramatic Athletic TFC and prolific Worcester Wednesday have elected to play non-competative exhibition matches at the club.

Subbuteo has long been on the touch line, substituted by modern computer games. But this classic table top sport has recently been revived through an underground movement of enthusiasts creating fantastic new pitches, teams, goals and all manner of accessories. You will find some links to these sites on our website. Subbuteo remains a game played across the globe and thankfully now in the UK clubs are re-emerging with old and new players.

Worcester River Plate Severn TFC meet on alternate Friday evenings in the St Johns area of Worcester. Players from around the world are welcome to contact the club.

Great site and great club!

But what rules are you playing with?

Hi

We use FISTF rules but the video demonstrates a more relaxed version and this creates faster play, less stop/start. These are pretty much old school advanced rules of the 1970's and 80's.
Hope this helps. Tim
